It is important to note that many companies do not disclose their Boswellic Acid content because it’s very low. Riaflex High Potency Boswellia, contains 65% Boswellic Acid to provide the best possible joint support.
Boswellic acids are the active part of Boswellia. They closely resemble the chemical structure of steroids, but their actions are different. It is believed they help to inhibit the activity of the enzyme 5-lipoxygenase (5-LOX), which in turn helps to inhibit inflammation. Boswellia has also been shown to reduce GAG degradation (such as glucosamine and chondroitin),which are essential nutrients within joints, and in turn helps to maintain joint comfort.
